Blogging!!!

Good morning my fellow bloggers. I am sorry my blog has been without posts in a long time. Vacation has taken the best of me and I have basically been doing nothing. I am ordering an ipod touch today because I got money for Christmas and I want an ipod. I am sorry if this post is lame.

I miss all of you fellow bloggers that don't post.

Um...

Ah Ha!

I have been showed how to add pictures to my blog entries, thanks to Shaelen (I will now add you to my blog roll!). I am pretty much really excited.

My Grandma just came from Pennsylvania. She's pretty cool.

For God's Sakes, yesterday I ordered the wrong iPod. It's pretty frustrating.

I did pretty well on my tests. That's pretty fun, I guess.

Last but not least,

TODAY IS THE START OF VACATION!!!!

I am officially done with school for the year of 2008!

Continuing on, I have some horrible news.

I wouldn't really call this girl my friend, but I played on a soccer team with her 2 years ago and my friends were in her class 2 years ago. She's in the grade below me.

Well...

Her brother died. He was still in High School, too. And it's devastating. I don't know how she feels. I think I might send her a sympathy email or something like that. I don't know what to do. It's just so tragic and my heart breaks for her family.

Moving away from this horrible topic, I now present you with a picture.

It is my favorite picture of all times.

I am in love with it.

Love,

Lucy

Winter Wonderland

It's snowing.... but not just flurrying.
It's downpouring snow, shall we say. I can barely see outside. It is also windy, so the snow is moving in circles. It is absolutely gorgeous. I don't really know if we are going to have a snow day tomorrow because the snow started at around 8 this morning, so it should stop at midnight, which would give the plowers time to clear the snow. I don't really know if I want a snow day. If we had a snow day, then what's the point of going to school on Tuesday when we have the rest of the week off. I don't understand why we didn't just have the whole week off.
Anyways, the snow is falling out of the sky rather quickly and heavily. It also is frissimo outside (frissimo means "very cold" in Spanish).
Moving on, I am starting to decorate my Christmas tree today. My family acually has two. We have a big artificial tree in the dining room and a regular size real tree in the living room. It's cool. I can't wait to decorate... it should look amazing.

More from Living in a Winter Wonderland,

I would love to see the ocean right now...

New

New and improved...

I have changed my Crazy Plaid Scarves to footprints in the sand.
I became bored with the idea of Crazy Plaid Scarves, so I brewed up a new blog title. I am pretty sure everything is going to stay the same, but I never know what ideas are going to pop up.

Leaving you with that...
Welcome to Footprints in the San.

Hope.Praying.CMP Guys.POWER

I'm so excited!!! I officially have power (Has it taken long enough??). I feel really bad because Valentine is staying in a motel that is less than half a mile away from her house because she doesn't have power but the hotel does. It really stinks.

I love CMP Guys. They work so hard, and they are awesome!!! They work 17 hour shifts with a 7 hour break in between. But, they do the job and they make loads of families happy.

When I found out I had power, I started yelling and jumping up and down. Living off of a generator that barely helps for 2 days is rough. I mean, come on, I had to use flashlights in the shower at night and sometimes during the day.

Anyways...

Feel free to post comments and I am auwfly sorry for those of you who are still without power (Valentine, so sad). I'll see you in the blog world sometime soon.

Power Generators

So sorry I have not entered a post in a long time. I won't be lazy anymore...

Description of the Weather Outside:
Ice sickles all over the place, power lines down, trees in the middle of the road, freezing!!!!

There's no school today and it's not because of the horrible, icy weather in New England.

It's because it's my birthday. Just kidding, but not about my birthday. Today is my birthday, December 12th. Moving on, today is a conference day for the teachers. To make a long story short, the teachers used to have parent-teacher conferences today but they don't anymore.

So, last night I went to Valentine's house and we watched Meet Dave and had ice cream and popcorn (but not together). We were supposed to go to the theater to see Four Christmases, but the weather was really icky... Anyways, Meet Dave was a pretty good movie. Not hilarious, but chuckles throughout the movie.

When I woke up this morning, I was expecting it to be sunny and warm, but to my surprise, it was pitch black and freezing cold (I also was sleeping in a tank top). I looked at my clock and I couldn't see anything. I wondered what was wrong with it.

Then I realized when the power goes out, my clock doesn't light up.

Doesn't that suck, it's 6:30 in the morning and you have to get out of bed to turn on a light in order to read your clock. Yep, that's what I did.

I went downstairs a couple minutes later. My birthday "vision" was to see the lights on, smell the cinnamon rolls baking, and see my presents on the kitchen table. Instead I saw four candles on the kitchen table and the fire in the living room going. If you haven't guessed it by now, the power was out.

I waited until about 7:15 to open presents... they were nice, but not really what I expected. But that's okay, as least I got some.

By this time, I was tired, cold, and hungry, and I was not so excited about my birthday.

Finally, my wonderful dad hooked up the generator which brought power to some of the house, but now I have internet!!!!!

So, thank God for Power Generators!!!!

Adios from your newly crowned 13 year old New England Girl who is half way sad because her birthday isn't want she expected.

P.S. I feel really bad for the other schools around my town because they have a snow day and it's not even January. :(

Prelude

Prelude has begun in my small little Maine town. I didn't go to the tree lighting on Friday, but my friends did, I wish I had gone. Anyways, the only time the Port is packed is when it's either Summer or Prelude. I love Prelude. Plus, when it's Prelude, all the stores give out free candy, but they don't in the Summer. So... my aunt and uncle came into town, we went out to dinner and then went shopping downtown, where I got tall, sand Uggs. Today (First Snow!!!), we are going to a breakfast buffet. It seems that Prelude always involves food, cold, and walking/shopping downtown, which would also mean some money.

Friends

"What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies."
-Aristotle
That is the definition of a friend.
I am posting this because my friends have been in a little "fight", shall we call it.  I have understood every word both of my friends have said and I am making this because I think a friend is exactly what Aristotle quoted.  I just wanted to point out to my two friends that everybody has their little bickerings and theirs was now.  I hope everybody (on both sides) learns from this experience and realizes that nobody's perfect.

Alicia Sacramone

For those of you who know, I do gymnastics. I also happen to be crazy about it, and if you've visited my other blog, you would know. So today I went to a gymnastics clinic with Trendless Trendsetter and all of the toher gymnasts from the State of Maine. We had a couple special guests. They were Alicia Sacramone and her two coaches: Mihai and Silvia Brestyan. It was AWESOME!!!!!! We had a whole rotation to ask Alicia questions. I asked her some, but it was kind of awkward because the questions I wanted to asked were a little wierd. Anyways, I think that if you haven't heard of Alicia Sacramone you should go on to youtube and type in Alicia Sacramone. Some say she caused Team USA to loose to China, but I don't believe it. China was cheating and that's final. I really don't want to get going on that because my entry would be a million pages long. Good Night.

Top Chef New York/ Episode 3

All right. I know I said I wouldn't have anymore posts for the night, but have nothing else to do. Even though I don't have cable, I fell in love with a TV Show.

It's Top Chef.

It's totally awesome.

I first found out about it from watching Project Runway.

I loved that show.

Top Chef New York is pretty sick.

I like Leah and Radhika.

I can't believe Richard went home.

Top Chef is destroying Team Rainbow. I mean, first Patrick and then Richard in the first three episodes!!!!!!!!!!

Daniel is horrible.

I'm really happy Aryiane redeemed herself in Episode 3.

Carla is crazy, but I like her.

Fabio is pretty cool but Stephan is too wierd with his European accent.

I'm going to stop talking about Top Chef.

I'm sorry if I bored you with my Top Chef opinions.

Etc.

I know I just posted something like 5 minutes ago, but I wanted to do another. Today I went to see Twilight. It's really good!!! I loved Jasper. His face is so akward. It's like uptight and his eyes are buldging. I saw Twilight with my friend, who also has a blog (storytellerpage.wordpress.com) and yes she is one of the sinners who uses wordpress instead of blogger. After the movie we went to Ricetta's Pizza. It was really yummy.

I'm so bored. We get laptops at school but because these kids were looking up wacko stuff on them, we can't take them home over vacation, meaning we can't work on homework or play games. It really makes my want to punch those kids square in the face.

On that high note......

Good night and don't let the bed bugs bite!!!!

Does Toothpaste really get rid of Zits?

Hey Guys. If you are wondering about my Entry Title, it's a long story, but it's kinda funny. So I'm on my friend's computer typing this up. When I went to type the title, it was going to begin with a "D", the bar underneath, with words already typed, came up. I was like "wow, what is that?!". I guess it was something somebody typed on this computer. So, does toothpaste really get rid of zits? I guess that's something your going to have to find out. So research up and when you find the answer comment on it.

Thanks.

Thanksgiving

So I just came back from Pennsylvania on Friday because my Uncle has a farm there. The farm is completely in the middle of nowhere. I mean like really nowhere, nowhere. The ride was about 8 hours, so by the time I got home my butt and legs were so sore. At the farm, where I ahd Thanksgiving, I saw all of my Mom's side of the family. We talked and visited and ate really good food. Then my familt spent the night there. The house is really cool. It was built I think around 100 years ago, so the floors are creaky and stuff like that. It's pretty neat. So the next morning my uncle shows us around the farm (well it was really just around the house, but a lot of his animals live there). I forgot to say that he killed the turky he ate, so I got to hear the whole process of killing a turkey. It's pretty nasty. I won't share it because I don't want my entry to cause a little vomiting series. Anyways, I saw turkey blood (which was frozen), turkey heads, turkey feet, and most disgusting of all, turkey guts!!!!! They looked like really big worms. I almost threw up!!!!! So, with that pretty picture in your head, I leave you. So enjoy the weekend.
